Netflix
TV has been around for decades and many great shows were born out of it. As time goes on, as the Internet advances, this makes TV watching less and less doable, especially because of YouTube and other sites, where people watch or create videos of many genres, diversifying things that TV programs can't do easily. The arrival of Netflix changed the entertainment industry, allowing the option to view any programs at any time of the day, completely reducing the need to get DVDs of certain programs.
By subscribing to Netflix, you can watch shows of different types and all genres, both licensed from other companies and "Netflix Originals", programs created/co-created by Netflix itself. You're also not limited to one platform: any platform that has the Netflix app can view content through one account. You can also download episodes, but just for a limited time. Viewing content also depends on the owner of that content: Netflix gains the rights to distribute programs in certain regions dictated by the owner, but when the deal expires or the owner has a change of mind, Netflix will remove the series. That's just the industry's habit.
Movies come and go, but Netflix still brings great content from the best, old and new to every generation. Many companies may launch streaming services of their own, Netflix is a good platform for every average viewer, who has a taste for every genre and no dominant favorites.
