Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted - Review

Whenever we get lost, it’s ideal to get help returning home. However, what if we can use this opportunity to explore as we return home? Maybe we can discover new opportunities and ways of life, like doing things we could never do in our lifetime! And maybe we’ll find better things to do or just join in. Maybe. That’s what I think about Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted.

The zoo animals live happily in the nature reserve in Africa, but it doesn’t take long until they get homesick for New York. Together, they head to Monte Carlo to get the penguins and chimpanzees to return home in the plane, who have been playing casino and won in the meantime. Unfortunately, Alex’s interference leads to animal control led by Chantel DuBois, a big-game hunter who vows to get Alex’s head as a trophy. They stumble upon a moving circus train and manage to gain entry (by pretending to be circus animals). The circus animals (Stefano the sea lion, Gia the jaguar and Vitaly the tiger) tell them they will perform in Rome and London to impress a promoter and get on their first American tour. The chimpanzees (posing as the “King of Versailles”) purchase the circus from the owners, making the first animal-only circus in the world. While the performance in Rome fails, the “circus animals” help them get better. But between avoiding DuBois and getting closer to the circus animals, will they truly return “home”?

I like this film for incorporating the circus, the very thing I have never visited (maybe except that one time). The comedy is on point, the music is great and, most importantly, the chase are awesome, not to mention the chimpanzees’ disguise as the “King of Versailles”. The circus acts are amazing, so much that they hardly need words to describe them. It’s a great film to watch for the entire family, for all the laughter to share.
